I can not begin to describe the feeling I had this morning when I woke up. It is a whole new day - refreshing and full of promise. We know that we are on this side of the battle. Each wire or tube removal is another victory and Henry is facing each of them head on and without fear. They are weaning him off the ventillator slowly and within two to five days they should begin to introduce food - this is very good being that I am about to begin filling up my 4th bucket of expressed milk. I am pretty sure they will need that shelf for someone else :-).
Thank you everyone for your continued prayers. Thank you to all the "Seattle Huff's" for the goodies you have brought by - you seem to slip in and out like little elves bearing gifts. The banana bread Barrie brought got me through the last week of pumping and morning vitamins - it was bittersweet eating the last piece however now I have Jennifer's mixed berry muffins to look forward to - yummy :-)!
Thank you to everyone for your continued support, love and prayers!

Dear the Hanson's,
Everyone here at the Southshore Veterinary Clinic have been reading your blogs daily. We are all so thankful that surgery went well, and Henry is doing good. We are taking good care of Bodie. He is doing great. We made a blog so we could send a picture. http://southshorevet.blogspot.com/
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely Southshore Veterinary Clinic.
You sound so much better 'even just on the blog'. I am certain Henry will conquer every hurdle wonderfully.
Take care,
Emily
The long journey home has begun. I know you the Hansons will meet each new challenge with the grace and strength we have seen so far. There is strength in numbers - and you have a loving family and many, many friends with you. Look to us for what you need.
