Since Cinder has been gone more than 6 months we felt Ella needed company outside and it was time George got a pet. Yes we are suckers for a cute face :-). We searched high and low for a good natured cat/kitten that got along with dogs and people and other cats. We have certainly found the perfect addition to our family. Riley is 5-6 months old and adjusted to us so quickly. George LOVES her and has done everything to her and she returns for more. He has drug her around by her tail, neck and I think ears. He has picked her up and laid across her to show his love. She doesn't run from him and seems to enjoy it. This is a video of them playing with a bit of rope. George can say Ri Ri and something similar to Riley, kitty and cat he can even say meow sort-of :-).

Just stuff George has been doing
Today George was spinning, as he loves to do, and he fell over, as he always does, but this time he landed a little wrong and got himself his first nosebleed :-(. Poor poor baby! It didn't bleed for long but he got blood all over my sleeve and broke my heart in the process. I know I am to encourage him to be anything he wants to be but maybe a dancer just isn't the right choice :-).

Drew got George this great couch/bed that he loves to sit on or lie on - apparrently he isn't the only one who likes it. Good thing all our "kids" get along well and like to share.
George is all about blowing kisses now - he has even added sound effects :-)

Playing in the Band
Emily had her first band concert of the year. This is just the 7th and 8th graders (6th graders join the next concert). Emily is the only French Horn player this year and she is doing really well. She is in the purple/plum colored shirt - I didn't zoom in before I started taping and on the camera you cannot zoom in/out once you start taping. We are very proud of her musical ability (must be passed down/over from Michael because it certainly isn't from me). This taping is pretty long, the second one I zoom in and don't take as much footage. These are both from the concert band, she is also in Jazz band but she is hidden in the back. I might post one of those songs later or just wait for the next performance ;-). George was clapping for her the whole time she was playing - almost to the beat but not quite.
Now you can see Emily better :-)

Snack time
George decided he wanted to share his snack with Bodie. They are so good at sharing with each other :-)(
