Henry day 3

Henry is doing pretty well today. Yesterday they did a procedure called a Balloon Septostomy to promote more mixing of the blood between the two chambers. He came out of that well and they were happy to see that the coronary arteries were going in the right direction (they couldn't get a clear picture from the ecogram). As he came out of the anesthesia he opened his eyes a lot and even grabbed my hand as I was rubbing his head. It completely made my day and since it was just after midnight it was a great day to begin even though I was about to turn in for the night. :-)!
When we came down this morning the nurse told us that he had a bit of a rough 'rest of the night'. Some of the weaning they were hoping for didn't go as planned. They ended up giving him a little more morphine to calm him which worked well and his numbers are up again and his blood pressure is down.
We should know more about the surgery schedule tomorrow which will be a relief. Henry is being strong answe are full of hope. We have received a multitude of prayers and thoughts and they are all appreciated more than anyone could possibly know.
Henry was baptized yesterday while his daddy held him at his bedside. It was very beautiful and emotional. Grandma Mickey and cousin Libby were here as well.
Love to all!

Debbie,

We are praying for all of you and sending you lots of love. You sound so strong but I know this has to be immesaurably hard in so many ways. I know you are just ready to be home with your three precious children and I'm praying that happens very soon.

love,
erin
