Shoveling snow

Today George and Drew decided we needed to shovel the snow off the porch. Drew got George his own shovel and he was set. He loves to clean so we figured this would be right up his alley :-).

First play in the snow - yummy!

We finally got some snow however along with it came really cold temperatures - like -5 to +5 so we couldn't get George outside. Finally it warmed up just a bit to 20 degrees so he could romp around a little bit. Here is his first snow experience - he really though it tasted good!

This next video is of George riding on his new sled that Granddad & Grandma Karen got him for Christmas. I figured since we would be traveling to the south on Christmas that he could open it and try it out a few days early - thanks Granddad & Grandma Karen for the great sled!!

Eating Spaghetti

George really enjoys eating spaghetti. I think he eats the noodles more than the sauce but it is funny to watch him. There is no need to cut his noodles at all :-). A bath is mandatory when he is finished.

Twins!

Wow it is hard to get them both comfy at the same time.
George was pretty jealous of Mommy or Daddy holding another baby :-) He really wanted to kiss them both.

There is a better copy of this photo in Anne's camera (we are smiling) but I thought this was neat.

Finley was pretty much wide awake the second visit we made and by the motions her mouth was making she was pretty hungry too. It seems she was the dominant womb-mate - Declan slept the whole time. Anne said he had been kicking her a lot so maybe he was just worn out from all the internal activity :-).

So the twins, Declan and Finley are totally adorable. I held Finley first and she was so tiny and light - THEN I held Declan and WOW even tinier and lighter. They are bot so precious. As of now I think Finley looks like Anne and Declan looks like Kevin. They both resemble Sam now but not so much from the baby picture in Sam's room.

Welcoming Declan and Finley Haveron

Anne and Kevin Haveron along with their 5 year

-old son, Sam, welcome Declan (boy) 5 lbs 12 oz & Finley (girl) 6 lbs 5 oz at about 9 am this morning 12-9-08. They were delivered by c-section and Anne is doing really well. I am sure she will welcome the sleep that she will now be allowed with help from the nurses in the nursery :-). We are on our way to meet our new neice and nephew and will have more pictures when we get home.

Art by Emily

Emily modeling the coat Grandma Mickey got her for her birthday - ooh lah lah!

Thirteen - need I say more?

Emily is changing every day - she is turning into the most beautiful young lady. Don't get me wrong she has always been beautiful but the transformation this year has astounded me. She has been very active in running (getting ready for track and field in the spring), she has been attending Bible study with a young group from Church, she has been very active in the religious ed on Wednesday nights and she is blossoming in her french horn playing as well as her piano lessons. This year she began Art lessons after school one day a week. The last project was self portraits - we are all pretty impressed with her ability. She did hers in the style of William H. Johnson, an African American artist. They are now on to a new project and I for one cannot wait to see how it turns out. Enjoy!!
