riding the horse

We swapped toys with Lily for a few weeks (she got the train and we got the horse). I went to pick up Emily and Drew stayed here with George. They decided to make a movie for me while I was gone. Please note the beer is root beer :-)

Happy Birthday Auntie Anne!

George found a candle and to him any candle is a Happy Birthday candle. He started singing 'Happy Birthday' to his Auntie Anne :-).

just a couple of videos to share

Lily (George's best friend) came over for a playdate. They are both going through a "we are not sure about this sharing business" stage. This video is a little bit of Henry and a little bit of George and Lily dancing.

This video is Henry eating his rice cereal. He has gotten a lot better at it after a few tries but he still is not crazy about the process. He does like to talk and play with his feet. George came over to teach Henry how to eat his "oatmeal". Henry just adores George and lights up anytime he is around.

Just an update

Things are moving along in our world. I will post pictures soon....

Henry is reaching each milestone on target and trying hard to surpass the norm. He is rolling over both ways and can get acroos the room before you know it. I remember George rolling over earlier but not quite as ambitioustly as Henry does. He continues to melt our hearts with his awesome smile and amazing personality. He is "steamrolled" daily by George and just laughs like he wants more. He watches each of us when we come into the room and just wants to be acknolwedged so he can wiggle and smile at you. He has two teeth on the bottom and acts like there are about 4 more coming in - we don't feel them yet but by his chewing techniques it wont be long. So far he has managed to stay pretty well. He did have a cold but it only lasted a few days and he smiled through it all.

George is moving and shaking up our world. He has so many new words each day that it just shocks us. He will say something and then point to it and we scratch our heads and wonder when we told him what that was. :-) You pretty much only have to say something once and he has it down in his head for later use. He is doing well with his potty training but has great days and not great days. We will persist and hopefully in the next week or two it (training) will be a thing of the past.

Emily is doing really well and trying hard to concentrate in school. She is able to maintain a decent average but is easily distracted. She is putting forth a great effort and we are very proud of her for this. She is gearing up for a school sponsored trip with some of her classmates to Washington DC the first part of spring break. I think it will be an awesome trip and she will learn a lot and have a great time.

My heart goes out to the Hanson Family who lost the matriarch of their family, Elsie on Wednesday Jan 20. She was an amazing woman who lived a very full life. She was always very kind to me and Emily and loved both the boys. I am really glad she had enough fight in her to see and meet so many of her great-grandchildren. We were fortunate to get to spend Christmas with her, thanks to Margaret. She will be missed but I am glad that her suffering as well as that of her family is over.

some videos taken with my new Flip

Thank you to Anne for the awesome Christmas gift - a new Flip digital recorder. Of course this means more and more videos of The Hanson's :-).

This first video is Henry talking and rolling over and talking some more. He now has two teeth showing that have broken through the skin, he can roll over both ways and he seems to talk more than George did at this age which is scary because George doesn't stop talking much :-).

The next video is Coach George "helping" me work out. He kept pushing me over so I told him he needed to count to 10 before he could push me down. He is really cute counting with me, I have tried to show others him counting to 10 but he would fizzle out doing it - now it is on tape :-).

Happy New Year

It was a great day for swimming and Emily to use her new underwater camera she got for Christmas. She and Kaelyn had a great time taking many different kinds of pictures - these are some of the unusual ones that turned out really cool.

George got to enjoy pop rocks tonight thanks to his sister and his Auntie Anne. We all thought he would be afraid of them but much to our surprise he liked them a lot.

This is Henry laughing literally for the first time. He acted like he was about to so I pulled out the camera. Emily kept putting her hair on him and he just thought it was the funniest thing! So adorable!!!
