Halloween Carnival

We had so much fun at the carnival tonight. George got to go into the ball pit and LOVED it. It is amazing how a $10 pool and some plastic balls can be so much fun of course you have to throw in a slide.

By the end of the night it was just about climbing in and out of the pool.

Happy Halloween

We went trick or treating in downtown Polson today. George is a fly fisherman with a decent sized rainbow trout on the end of his line :-). He wasn't able to fill his creel with fish but the candy and cookies he got will do just fine. It was so much fun visiting our friends in Polson and so nice of them to give out candy to the little kids. We finished our trip to town by going to Cherry Valley school to see all the kids in costume. Tonight we are headed to the Polson High School for a Halloween carnival that is sponsored by the local churches.

More 1st birthday stuff :-)

George really enjoyed opening all his birthday gifts, his birthday dinner and most especially the cake -yummy! In true birthday form George definately partied until he dropped. What a great first birthday - thanks for all the email, facebook and phone call wishes. It was great seeing Uncle Kevin and letting George show off his sliding techniques - he has since figured out how to climb up by himself however he slides down head first - we will work on that one.

A year ago today

A year ago today you came into our lives and we have enjoyed every moment of you being here. We Love You George! - Daddy, Mommy & Emily

Happy 1st Birthday George!

Believe it or not - George is ONE today! He got a wonderful birthday surprise from Grandma Mickey & Grandpa Jon yesterday. After dad put it together he woke up from a nap and played around a little. Here is his video thanking his grandparents for the awesome gift. The second video is of him using the slide. He started blowing kisses yesterday.

eating lunch by myself - sort of

George is so independent right now. He has to have his own spoon and feed himself. I fight him on this a lot but he is pretty persistent. He was having wacky mac for lunch so it wouldn't involve another bath today so i let him do more. He would try to put the noodle on his spoon but it didn't always make it. He would let me put it on the spoon for him and he would actually make it to his mouth from time to time. Here is our fun at lunch. There weren't any dogs around so he wasn't trying to feed them today.

Back over to Missoula for a wedding

We hurried (sortof) back to Missoula on Friday for the wedding of a dear friend of Drew's. Here are some photos of Emily and George all dressed up. I can't believe Drew and I didn't get a picture together - Drew was in the wedding so he was pretty busy.

Phantom of the Opera

Emily and I went to Spokane this past Thursday (no school Thursday or Friday) to see Phantom of the Opera. It was so amazing! I am really glad to be able to go and spend this time with her. This is the only picture we took it was late and we were pretty beat but singing the songs in our heads (and out loud).

Apple video

So here is the video - had issues loading it earlier.

Just being me

Here are just some pictures of George being cute :-) - snuggling with Ella, and Bodie and his first tatoo. We only left him with his sister for 20 minutes and he got "inked"! It is a cute little bat and it is pretty much gone today. The video is of George eating an apple - pretty much his favorite thing. Aside from jerky (of any kind) he is kind of a vegetarian. He will eat some foods with chicken but doesn't care much for others. Maybe it will be different when he is eating more table food. We give him bits of just about anything we eat and he likes most of it.

Emily and I did a 5K run this past weekend. We both finished it and did better than we thought we would. It was a lot of fun and we look forward to the next one. I can't believe we didn't take a single picture (me the one who always has a camera on hand). I guess we were thinking "light". Emily got 6th in her age group, I was hoping to do at least 15 minute miles and I did a little less than 13 min/mile. Like I said we look forward to the next one - I will take pictures then.

Planting trees and eating dirt

We have purchased a few cherry trees and are about to plant them. George came down to help me make sure the holes were adequate. He had fun playing in (eating) the dirt. Doesn't this look like fun to you???

Things that go bump .... in the day

I guess with toddling comes bumps and bruises. George is not afraid of anything and began walking with a little cautiousness but has since thrown caution to the wind and just wants to be everywhere. This morning he was walking and tripped on his own feet and landed eyebrow first on the metal frame of our bed - ouch! He has a nice little shiner to show off as his war scar. I guess the ladies will be impressed. Thankfully for now there is no color just some very faint bruising and a nice little bump. I am not sure how many pictures I will be posting in the near future as it may look like he has taken up boxing :-).
