Henry on our slide - oh my!

A few days ago it came to my attention that Henry could climb the ladder of our playset. He would wait at the top of the slide for me to come over and then he would slide and let me catch him. He has now figured out how to do it himself - so independent, yikes!

Piano man/men/boys

The boys were entertaining us this evening, it is a bit long but George breaks out in a solo towards the end. He is doing a remix of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and the "ABC" song. Henry is just happy doing backup - for now :-).

Fun at the park

It was a beautiful day today and we hear it is one of only a few left so the boys and I decided to head to the park. Surprisingly we were the only people there but we had fun anyway. Henry, who loves to climb, was enjoying the jungle gym a lot. It is a pretty difficult gym for a parent to maneuver around from the outside so I was grateful that he has such great balance. I believe George was off discovering mud holes during most of this but he does make an appearance.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Pumpkin Patch in Kalispell today and had so much fun. They have so many great activities for the kids. Here are just a few of the things we did.....

We did so much today, beginning with a nice walk down to the lake (and back up) and the beginning stages of winterizing cabins and toys. Needless to say, George was exhausted. We sat down for dinner just before seven. We looked over and George was barely hanging on :-)

Egg Allergy

It is official, Henry is allergic to eggs. Fortunately this is one that can pretty easily be avoided by label reading AND it is one that is typically outgrown as he ages. Important website: http://www.foodallergy.org/page/egg-allergy. I believe the scariest thing to me was them demonstrating the use of and issuing a prescription for an Epi pen. As the above website states most egg allergies are just on the skin but there is the potential for anaphylaxis. I have a DVD that they gave us to watch to see the signs and also how to administer the shot if necessary. He did test negative for milk and soy. They cannot test for the penicillin yet as he is too young however since he did seem to react to it when he was on it all doctors have agreed to flag his chart and not use it. As for nuts the doctor said it is best to try it in a small dose and see how he reacts - that sounds like big fun so we will probably try that soon :-). All-in-all we are doing great and the boys are having fun spreading out a little.

George is well aware of his upcoming birthday and has picked out a multitude of gifts he would like to receive :-). Every time he finds something he says he needs to call Auntie Anne to tell her about it. I will tell him that the gift may be something Granddad or Grandpa would like to get him and he insists on calling them right away. He is very eager to get on the phone to whomever is on the other end but it is mostly selfish as he will inform you only of his gift choices.
