New Year's Eve in Jackson, MS

We went to my cousin Terry's to bring in the New Year. KK & Tony & Sam live around the corner so I was able to be with many of the people I love. Here are just a few pictures. Poor George was fighting his top molars so he and I spent most of the evening in a big comfy chair.

On to Jackson, MS

So we headed to Jackson next via the MS Gulf Coast. I wanted to see what had changed since "Katrina" and it isn't much. As far as we could tell only four casinos chose to rebuild. We went to the Beau Rivage and walked around a little bit so we could all stretch our legs. We played in the arcade and had ice cream then headed up Highway 49 to Jackson. We had a truly wonderful time in Jackson seeing our family and friends. George was an absolute doll at least until his molars decided to come in - yikes! He was still really good but much more on the whiney side and very clingy. He had quite the fever going which lasted a few days, he was still the trooper he is and chose to have fun despite the pain. Here are a few picture of George with my Mom, George learning how to turn on the sink at Mom's work (what a fun place for kids), and with Uncle Michael and Joseph.

Hard to believe it is the middle of January....

......and I have not posted a thing since Christmas! We had such a wonderful time in Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. We had a wonderful time visiting with my Grandparents. They finally got to meet George and he put on quite the show. We were pretty tired from travelling as I am sure my grandparents were too but the time we did get was so great! I love what they have done with their new home.

Next we headed to the "Big Easy" where we feasted on beignets and cafe au lait at Cafe du Monde, Drew had a hurricane (or two) from Pat O'Briens, and we finished our day with a muffaletta in the park from Central Grocery in the French Quarter.

Shoveling snow

Today George and Drew decided we needed to shovel the snow off the porch. Drew got George his own shovel and he was set. He loves to clean so we figured this would be right up his alley :-).

First play in the snow - yummy!

We finally got some snow however along with it came really cold temperatures - like -5 to +5 so we couldn't get George outside. Finally it warmed up just a bit to 20 degrees so he could romp around a little bit. Here is his first snow experience - he really though it tasted good!

This next video is of George riding on his new sled that Granddad & Grandma Karen got him for Christmas. I figured since we would be traveling to the south on Christmas that he could open it and try it out a few days early - thanks Granddad & Grandma Karen for the great sled!!

Eating Spaghetti

George really enjoys eating spaghetti. I think he eats the noodles more than the sauce but it is funny to watch him. There is no need to cut his noodles at all :-). A bath is mandatory when he is finished.
